Using Cloud Outlook Web Access

Outlook Web Access - Log On

Our cloud exchange email service enables you to access your email, via Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, Outlook Web Access or on your email compliant handheld device. Here we look at using Outlook Web Access.

Enter the URL that you have been provided as Web Access to your e-mail.  The following screen will be displayed.

Read the security notice, if you are on your own computer select private otherwise select public computer. So on your own computer, ensure that a) you have selected This is a private computer; and b) the box labelled Use Outlook Web Access Light is not ticked.

Enter your email address and password, and logon to proceed.

Your Screen starts from the Office Outlook Web Access logo

On the left of the screen you will see your Mail folders and panels for:

  • Calendar
  • Contacts
  • Tasks
  • Public Folders

In an organisational setting, your contacts will be listed in one of the public folders:

  • Select public folders panel
  • Select the master account listed
  • Select the contacts public folder

At the top left of your screen, it will show and Options button; your name; and a log off button.

Select the Options button, this defaults to the messaging options section which allows you to configure and manage:

  • How many messages are displayed on each web page
  • Your online email signature
  • Standard email format and fonts
  • Requests for read receipts
  • Reading pane options

You need to save the settings on each page before moving to the next Options section

Other Options sections include:

  • Regional settings
  • Spelling
  • Calendar Options
  • Out of Office Assistant
  • Rules
  • Junk Mail
  • General Settings
  • Deleted Items
  • Mobile Devices

Outlook Web Access - Calendar Options

Please note that Outlook Web Access does not have the same functionality as Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010.  If you choose to use this mode of access expect things to look and function differently.
